How it works
This is a breakdown of the essential features of Streaming Promotion. If you have any questions about specific features please feel free to contact us.
Streaming Promotion was designed to include everything that writers would normally receive in a promotional package. Most fields you see are optional, use only what you need. The Additional Info field is WYSIWYG and you even have the option to edit the HTML.
For each release there is an option to deactivate the specific release so that all logins for that release are temporarily disabled.
You can also upload up to three file attachments for including high res cover art, PDF's, etc.
Tracks are uploaded in a plain mp3 format and can be encoded with a wide variety of software including iTunes. The player accepts a wide range of encoding qualities. You may want to use a high bit rate for high quality sound or alternately you can use a low bit rate to conserve bandwidth/disk space and therefore making the songs less likely to be shared.
Optionally, you can include lyrics for each track and they will be displayed for the user within the track listing.
Once you're ready to send your release out for listening you can send out user batches. Users are added by email address and there is the option to automatically send their login information through email. The email is customizable each time you create a user batch.
There are four ways to protect each username/password combination including session protection (only one user per login), username/password only (anyone can use it), hard IP protection (one IP per login) and medium IP protection (two IP's per login).
You can also set a time limit on access to logging in, ranging from 1 day to 60 days to unlimited.
Your users can now login.
Everything in the login and listening area is customizable using XHTML and CSS so you can brand it around your own website.
The terms of service part is also customizable, and can be disabled completely.
Test it out on our demo page.
The edit user section was created so that individual users can be edited/reset outside of the batches. Batches are large groups of users but the edit user section allows you to work with the individual users within that batch.
Here you can reset their IP locking, username/password and resend their login email. You can also see how many tracks they have played.
